Volatile: Describes the tendency of the price of a cryptocurrency to experience significant and unpredictable fluctuations over a short period. 

Validator: A participant in a proof-of-stake or delegated proof-of-stake consensus mechanism who is responsible for confirming and validating transactions on a blockchain. Validators play a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of the network. 

Vesting: A process by which individuals or entities gradually gain full control over their allocated tokens or coins over a specified period. Vesting is often used to incentivize long-term commitment and discourage immediate selling or manipulation. 

Verification: The process of confirming the accuracy and legitimacy of transactions on a blockchain. Verification is typically carried out by network nodes, miners, or validators, depending on the consensus mechanism.  

Volume: Refers to the total number of units of a cryptocurrency traded within a specified time period. High trading volume often indicates increased market activity. 

Venture Capital (VC): Funding provided by investors to startup companies or projects in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space to help them grow and develop. 

Vault: In decentralized finance (DeFi), a vault is a smart contract that automatically manages and optimizes users' assets by performing various financial strategies, such as lending, borrowing, and trading. 

Value Proposition: The unique features or benefits that a cryptocurrency or blockchain project offers, distinguishing it from others and providing value to users or investors. 

View Key: In privacy-focused cryptocurrencies, a view key allows users to share selective access to their transaction history and account balance without compromising the security of their private key. 

VRF (Verifiable Random Function): A cryptographic function that produces a random output that can be independently verified as genuinely random. VRFs are used in blockchain protocols to introduce randomness in a secure and verifiable way.
